The byre was built in 1786. On the ground floor were earlier located a cowshed and a hen house. Also pigeons were reared in a room.

The byre got a new roof truss because it was sponsored by the state. The roof was just stocked up with the original roofing tiles. In the courtyard was built a footpath with stairs.

On the first upper floor is a kitchen, in the other part is a larger hall called “Die Heutenne”, where family celebrations and weddings with about 80 persons can take place (rent costs on request).

On this yard shall take place celebrations, which are of varying cultural natures. But above all, the performances will show Upper Sorbian, Low Sorbian and Slavic traditions. Therefore a sanitation facility was arranged.

A furnished accommodation for up to 11 persons is located on the 2nd floor (groups up to 30 persons are also available on request). The living space of approx. 180 m² includes two dorms, two separate bathrooms and a lounge with smart-TV. The kitchen is located on the 1st floor.

A rustic and friendly atmosphere invites you to relax.

Rental costs for the accommodation for up to 4 people amount to 60 € per night. Each further person will be charged additional 7 € per night (children up to 6 years free of charge). This price includes cleaning, linen, towels (one for kitchen and each bathroom), electricity, gas, water, heating and internet.

The minimal stay is for 3 nights in the winter months (december to february), in the other months of the year 2 nights.
