The barn, built in 1807, was in use for hay. In the time of the German Democratic Republic, this barn was used as a stable
for sheep.
The cellar (10,40 x 5 m) was due to chilly room temperature ideal suitable for storage of beet, potatoes and even butter.
Today the original cellar on the barn was rebuilt in the original
vaulted form. It is excellently suitable as a wine cellar and for
wine tasting for about 50 persons.
In the barn, a treshing machine was built which was driven
of
horse force at the beginning of 19th century and which can
be used as bar and counter.
The barn can be used for larger weddings (about 160 persons) and other festivities too (rent costs on request).
The upper floor of the barn will be used as a historical museum for agricultural equipment. |
